& Luxury Management - Bachelor

We are happy
to announce that from September 2005 IFAM Business School will be able to
help all those interested in Fashion & Luxury Management to make their
dreams come true, by creating a unique Fashion & Luxury Management
Bachelor program.

Luxury and fashion sector remains in the heart of an always developing
economic system in spite of world crises. With its particular mix of
pleasure and creativity, luxury and fashion is an economic activity which
provides works as well as pleasure to its various lovers.
IFAM Business School is an international business school located right in
the center of Paris. With more than 2000 alumni IFAM has always
intended to keep pace of the dynamics of business world. Counting numerous
alumni working in the field of luxury and fashion, IFAM is now ready to
offer a challenging and exciting program dedicated to the particular world
of fashion and luxury.
This special year of Fashion & Luxury Management has two objectives:
* Understanding the specific management issues that
are facing the actors of this sector. These issues are a broad spectrum of
specific managerial knowledge: brand management, distribution & retailing,
brand law, managing the identity… All this specific knowledge has to be
apprehended by any ambitious managers wanting to exercise their talent in
such a challenging and demanding world.
* Apprehending the techniques that make fashion so
attractive. Fashion and luxury is about one tremendous challenge: defining
a trend, a spirit and applying it to items that can be sold. In order to
fulfill this gap, future fashion people, especially managers, must
understand their requirements. All students will therefore learn what
trend means, how they individually feel it and express it, and how they
want to decline it through products that they will themselves produce.
Paris is forever the
capital of elegance. At the middle point of art and business, Paris
attracts tourists from all over the world for its ‘art de vivre’. Fashion
and luxury are synonymous of dreams, pleasure, creation… As such, Paris
has seen French companies expanding on the five continents their so-French
spirit : Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Chanel, L’Oréal, …
IFAM Business School proposes the unique mix of business and creativity.
This can only be done with the active help of professionals. Professionals
of the fashion world are included in our teaching as well as a pedagogical
board, which intends to be always on top of the most current moves of this
domain.
